Does the vet product GenOne Spray cause a burning sensation when spayed on an open wound?

My vet gave me this product to use on my dog's tail.My dog has developed an open wound on his tail near his anus. It started out as either a spider bite, ant bite, bee or wasp sting or a cactus thorn. That's a lot of choices but that is as narrow as we have been able to guess. Every time I spray him, he yelps but I don't know if it really is hurting (burning) him or whether his backside is so sore and sensitive that he's just reacting to something strange and new to him.

Going swimming with my nose piercing on?

I am going to go swimming at my friend's pool on 4th of July, well actually July 3rd since it is supposed to rain July 4th. Last year, I did swim with my nose ring, but I was just really nervous it would get pulled out or come out since I hold my nose while underwater. I had it pulled out a couple times, first time it came out and the piercer put it back in and the second time it didnt come all the way out so i just pushed it back in. Does my older dog need a booster vaccination in 4 wks?

I took my Chihuahua who is 2 years old to the vet today for a parvo and distemper shot. I was told they only give a 6 way so I had it done. Then they told me I had to bring her back in 4 weeks for the booster. I thought only puppies needed a booster. She got very sore when we got home to the point for not being able to walk on her leg where they gave her the shot and yelped in pain if I touched the area. Now she seems to not be as sore but is throwing up. I think she will be ok but I don't want to put her through this again. Does she really need a booster??? I have 2 husky pups, male and female siblings, who are both 6 months old. They are being neutered and spayed this week so I am praying this behaviour calms down once this gets done, but anyway, the male is definitely the most dominant out of the two of them and is very possessive. They will allow me, my boyfriend and anyone else to take toys from them, go near their food and even put our hands on their food bowl without so much as a growl; they do everything we ask of them as we had them trained professionally so on the whole they are great dogs. However if the female so much as walks in the same direction as something that he thinks belongs to him, he will either growl at her or launch at her and they fight. We can buy them identical toys, but he isn't content with having just one, he wants her toy too. He thinks they are both his property and won't allow her to touch it without either a "back off" growl or starting a full blown fight with her. This doesn't happen on a weekly basis or anything, but has happened probably about 3 or 4 times since we got them. Yesterday, we gave them both a ball each to play with and he instantly attacked her when she picked her ball up, to the extent that she was yelping like crazy and we thought he was going to take her eye out because he was biting down on her face. No blood was drawn so I guess that's the only positive thing about it. As soon as we ordered him to stop, he did as he was told and stopped but I am getting sick of this. I have tried sitting between them when we give them toys and telling him to leave her, which he always does; however if we take our eyes off him for so much as a few seconds he will go and take whatever she has got. Usually she will give up without a fight but obviously some days she won't be so happy to give away what she has and that's when he gets mad. Is there anything I can do to stop this? I won't get rid of one of them, that is literally the LAST option before I have tried everything else I possibly can try, so please don't suggest this. If anyone can offer some suggestions that are actually helpful and not abusive, that would be great. I would also appreciate no answers that consist of something along the lines of me being incompetent as an owner because if that was the case, they wouldn't obey anything I said.

He used to whip me with his belts, grab and squeeze the back of my neck, and when I was in third grade my mom, brother, dad, and I went to a park for a picinicand me and my brother were fooling around at the picnic table and my dad thought WE were fighting so he decided to throw a plastic cup at MY forehead and split it open. I have a 4 and a half month old corgi pup and yesterday I took her to the dog park for the first time. My boyfriend and I practiced come and off leash walking. Now she leaves with a large Labrador and my bf's parents have an over sized border collie with both she is fine with and i thought she would be fine around other dogs but when two shepherds (German and a large mix) approached her yesterday she flipped out and started yelping. Why does popping this zit/lesion make me feel physically ill?

I occasionally get these odd spider bite looking lesions on my body. In the past, I've had one on my inner thigh twice, one on the back of my thigh, one on my arm and now I currently have one right under my eyebrow hidden by the hairs. It's'quite sore and painful to touch, i wait until it's "ripe" to pop it and squeeze out any puss or blood. However, when I do this it makes me very physically nauseus. Yes I suppose you could, just use a basic padlock. Bolt it to the side of the fridge door and keep the key with you all the time. I'm not sure drilling holes in the fridge would be the best thing though. You can always move it to your room though!

This is pretty gross but i'm kinda worried. I have a new puppy, and it screams all night! Help please!?

I bought an 11 week old schnoodle puppy from a pet store 3 days ago. The first night she cried and screamed for about 30 minutes, but we managed to ignore her and fall asleep. We woke up at 5am to take her out because she didn't cry during the night. But tonight, it's 12:30am and I am on the couch with her. We put her in her crate at 930pm, and she cried, and screamed for two hours straight. And when I say scream, I mean it sounded like someone was beating her, something you simply cannot ignore. I then moved her to our room, hoping that her seeing me would comfort her and she wouldn't cry. No such luck. More screaming. Finally, because I just need to sleep, I took her into the living room and am on the couch with her as she sleeps peacefully. I dont know what to do, I can't ignore the type of crying, yelping, screaming, and screeching she was doing. But i dont want her to get used to getting her way. And I also don't want her to get bad separation anxiety because i crated her too young.

WHat should I do about my landlord?

I have a one year lease with them. There is mold growing on the wood work around the windows that we are allergic to ( I have 2 babies and it grows in their bedroom and mine). I was about 7 or 8 loads behind last month and she told me i had to go to the laundromat and do it, even though we have a washer and dryer provided for us in the home, which is also part of the lease agreement. She unplugged our internet becuase she was "unhappy" with us, even though we were told it was provided for us when we moved in (not in the lease unfortunetaly). ello , I have a 5 month old Yorkie/ Maltese puppy. I have had him for three months and i have worked very hard in training him.I work 4 days a week and gone 8 hrs a day.He started separation anxiety a few weeks after i brought him home.I read and talked to trainers and studied like a collage course. It disappeared and he was doing great..house trained,alone time and very happy and stopped yelping. He has a good life with us and plenty of play time and walks and exercise as well. He is socialized with my friends dogs and has his own play dates.recently he started running at my feet again non stop and tries to get on me nonstop. All his training has disappeared as well...sit ,come,down,fetch .he will not listen and work with him daily even treats. he is shaking at times and vomiting sometimes and stresses him self out. I ignore when come home for 15 mins and crate trained and very comfortable huge two room place where he is in day when im at work. he was doing so well we could leave him with run of most of house and now he started going potty everywhere. so confused and getting exhausted. we have done dog training and seemed like a waist.HELP? thanks :)

Puppy Biting help! How much is normal?

My 16 week goldendoddle has been chewing alot however she keeps on nipping/biting people Ive tried the yelping method, the stern no, and then proper toy. However I am just worried because i don't know if this is normal? I looked up signs of puppy aggression and she doesn't really have any of those signs. Your dad could be right and it could just be a pinched nerve. Sometimes there are such things as para vertebral muscle spasms that persons get in their back. If it doesn't get better, I would have the doctor look at it. It doesn't sound like you hurt your spine though because the pain is off to the side, but you could be having a muscle spasm instead of the pinched nerve. Give it some time, apply ice to the area for 20 minutes, off for 20 minutes, heat for 20 minutes, off for 20 minutes, repeat the process and see if that helps you. Good luck, sounds painful.

Something weird happens to my best friend in class! Is she doing this on purpose?

My diabetic dog hates her shots? Help!?

She was diagnosed a few months back, and shot time is stressful on both the shot giver (either my brother or I) and my 12 year old lab mix. Dog limping (back leg)?

My dog is a male 8 year old maltese/pekingese cross. Since last night he has not put his back right leg on the ground when he walks and is limping pretty bad, but his leg doesn't hurt when i touch it (I touched his foot, knee and the rest of his leg and he didn't yelp). Hi. my dog Daisy is 8 years old and a chihuahua terrier mix. I took her out to potty this morning and when we came in she started yelping like she was in pain. Why does my dog yelp when being picked up?

We got our dog when she was 6 years old, never properly socialized, etc. but she has come a long way and is very sweet. However, my boyfriend can pick this dog up different ways (she doesn't like it but doesn't do anything). If I try to do the SAME EXACT thing she yelps and will bite (she's bitten me once). I am not hurting her at all. The two ways we've picked her up is near butt area and her chest OR her butt area and behind her front legs. But for me, it doesn't really matter, she yelps anyway. She will yelp at other people too where they would just stop and let her go.......Only a couple times have I been able to pick her up. It's very frustrating and not excusable for her to do that even though no one else was bitten. Is there any way to fix this other than simply not picking her up? Why is my westie afraid of the Hair dryer?

She was probably startled by the noise and now whenever she sees it is afraid it will hurt her. This happened to my dog. I practice shooting with a bb gun sometimes and when I take it out of the closet, he goes crazy! What I did was set the gun [locked with no bb's of course] on the ground and waited awhile. My son and I were walking our dog last night. He tried to jump up onto a stone wall, fell back and yelped and now he's not putting any weight on his rear left leg. Hi all, my gf has a clotting condition in which she needs to take anticoagulant medication daily by injection, similar to a diabetic injecting insulin. The problem is she hates needles and sticking herself daily sucks, so most of the time I have to do it for her. But I am going to be leaving town for a couple of weeks on business and she is going to have to do the daily injections herself and she hates it. My question is is there a product out now that makes it easier to correctly inject yourself? I have seen some tube-like needle holders and protection jackets for diabetic syringes, but since the meds already come in a pre-loaded syringe with a square plastic plunger lock surrounding it to ensure it can only be used once, I don;t think that will work. I was hoping for something similar in function to a caulking gun for a syringe, where you insert the syringe as a cartridge, it lines up on your skin via a pre-shaped guard already built in and all you have to do is squeeze the handle to inject yourself. Is there anything like that?

10 week old puppy -- Advice needed?

What do you think happened to my barn kittens?

Yesterday, my family and I were out of town for most of the day. Today when i went to do my chores, all of my barn kittens were gone! The adults are still there but each and every kitten was gone! Another possibility is the Tom. The father of all 9 kittens visited yesterday And today I'm worried maybe he killed them but that doesn't make any sense maybe he might kill the Tom kittens but why would he kill the females? Plus he is such a sweetie! Last year when one of my adults was a kitten he would play with her like a mother cat plays with her kittens. She was his duaghter too. Walk out and a couple seconds walk back in. The dog needs to know you will be back for her. Some dogs think you are abandoning them so if you keep up walking in and out of the room the dog will soon realizes any second now you will be back. Ignoring the dog is key. Keep this up, if it sounds dumb or tiring, boring perhaps. trust me it worked for my dog. Its like peek a boo with your dog, and when the dog is quiet is time for giving him a treat and phrase. every time leave for a little bit more seconds until you get into minutes. gradually work up to 30 Min's then to 40 Min's you the idea.

Why does my puppy yelp so much?

Seems OK. We had a GSD that had some issues with his ears and we used a very similar procedure to clean them. Never new about the PH balancing though. We used an over the counter product called (I believe) Octa-calm (or similar, sorry I don't remember the exact name......we have another GSD now (the old original fella crossed the bridge seven years ago) whose ears are PERFECT (we're very happy).
